Despite the reality that internet wagering is now a billion dollar business, and countless thousands of additional bettors world-wide log in every day to wager at web gambling halls, there are still millions of newcomers to the world of internet gambling who do not as yet have a clear comprehension of much of the jargon used in online gambling, and gambling on athletics in general. CLOSING A BET: As in spread wagering, meaning to put a bet on par with but converse of the initial wager.

COLUMN BET: To bet on any of the 3 columns of a roulette game.

COME BET: In craps, similar to a pass-line wager, but made after the shooter has ascertained her point.

COME-OUT ROLL: A crapshooters initial toss to establish a point, or the initial roll after a number is achieved.

COVERALL: A bingo term, meaning to cover all the numbers on a bingo sheet.

CRAPPING OUT: In craps, to toss a 2, three or twelve is an automatic loss on the come-out toss.

DAILY DOUBLE: To choose the winners of the 1st 2 events of the night.

DOWN BET: To bet that the outcome of an event will be smaller than the lowest end of the quote on a spread bet, also known as a "sell".

DOZEN BET: In roulette, to bet on one or more of 3 groups of twelve numbers, 1-12, etc.

EACH WAY BET: A sports gamble, which means to wager on a group or player to succeed or position in a game.

EVEN MONEY BET: A bet that pays out the same number as gambled, ( 1-1 ).

EXACTA: laying odds that 2 horses in a contest will complete the race in the absolute identical assignment as the bet – also known as a " Perfecta ".

FIVE-NUMBER LINE BET: In roulette, a wager carried out on a grouping of five numbers, like 1-2-3-0, and 00.
